Programme of the Day

15:00 Arrival & Rehearsal

Welcome back home!
We will be meeting in the Theatre of Caux Palace and rehearse for the ceremony. Attendance is mandatory for graduands.

Guests & Family arrival expected from 17:30 onwards.

16:00 Collection of Gowns

Please collect your Gown, Hat and Hood for the ceremony.

You will be guided to a dedicated room to dress up.

16:30 Graduation Photos

Graduation photos will be taken by class by a professional photographer, your usher will guide you throughout the day to the different venues.

17:30 Guests & Family Arrival

Guests & Family will be welcomed to the Theatre to be seated before the arrival of the graduands.

18:00 Degree Presentations

Keynote speaker, Presentation by Programme, SHMS & University of Derby Guest of Honour Speech, Special Awards, Closing Remarks & Alumni Family Welcome.

20:00 Gala Dinner

Family & Friends Celebration Gala Dinner - as prepared by the SHMS F&B Team

In the Grand Hall of Caux Palace

21:30 Fireworks & Champagne

Fireworks and Champagne served to end this life-long event in the most memorable way.

Guests leave campus at 22:00

I cannot attend the ceremony, how will I get my award?

Once the graduation ceremony happens, the Academic Office will then ship all awards to students who did not attend the event. These will be sent to the home address you have given us.
For those who need the award urgently, please contact us directly at graduation@shms.com

Where will we find photos of the event?

We will be sharing the link of the graduation photo gallery after the event with everyone.

How many guests can each student bring to the ceremony?

There is a limit of 2 guests on the sign up form.

I have signed-up but now want to change my details, what should I do?

We can update your information and RSVP at any time, please send us an email at graduation@shms.com

I am not eligible to graduate this May 2023, what can I do ?

Only students who have successfully completed all requirements of the degree can gown and walk the stage at the ceremony.
On completing successfully all the requirements, you are always welcome to join us for the next graduation ceremony in May 2024.

Can my guests stay at school after the ceremony?

Whilst there is no accommodation on the campus we are more than happy to give you information about the many and varied hotels available throughout the region.
