15:30 Arrival & Rehearsal
Welcome back home!
We will be meeting in the Caux Palace Theatre to rehearse for the ceremony.
Attendance is mandatory for all graduands.
Your usher will guide you throughout the day to the different venues.
16:15 Collection of Gowns
Please collect your Gown, Hat and Hood for the ceremony.
You will be guided to our dedicated dressing room, 400.
16:45 to 17:15 Graduation Photos
Graduation Photos will be taken, by class, by a professional photographer
Your usher will guide you throughout the day to the different venues.
Photo session will be held in Grand Hall, in Front of the Chimney
17:00 Guests & Family Arrival
Guests & Family are welcomed to the
Caux Palace Theatre to be seated before the arrival of the graduands.
17:30 – 18:30 Degree Presentations
Keynote Speaker, Presentation by programme, SHMS & University of Derby Guest of Honour Speeches,
Special Awards, Closing Remarks & Alumni Family Welcome
in the Caux Palace Theatre
18:30 Returning Gowns
Graduates will be returning their gowns in room 400, before exiting the Theatre.
19:00 Cocktail in Belle Epoque
Graduates with guests & family are welcomed to join the cocktail in Belle Epoque venue.
20:00 Gala Dinner
Family & Friends Celebration Gala Dinner - as prepared by the SHMS F&B Team
in Caux Palace Gardens
Subject to modification depending on the weather conditions of the day
Guests leave campus at 22:00
We reserve the right to make any changes to the programme
Frequently Asked Questions
I cannot attend the ceremony, how will I get my award?
Once the graduation ceremony happens, the Academic Office will then ship all awards to students who did not attend the event. These will be sent to the home address you have given us.
For those who need the award urgently, please contact us directly at graduation@shms.com
Where will we find photos of the event?
We will be sharing the link of the graduation photo gallery after the event with everyone.
How many guests can each student bring to the ceremony?
There is a limit of 2 guests on the sign up form.
I have signed-up but now want to change my details, what should I do?
We can update your information and RSVP at any time, please send us an email at graduation@shms.com
I am not eligible to graduate this May 2024, what can I do ?
Only students who have successfully completed all requirements of the degree can gown and walk the stage at the ceremony. Due to the high volume of participation to the graduation ceremonies, we are not able to offer the possibility to postpone your attendance to a next graduation.
Can my guests stay at school after the ceremony?
Whilst there is no accommodation on the campus we are more than happy to give you information about the many and varied hotels available throughout the region.
